The health of Maryland's terrapin populations are at a critical juncture this season and you can help!

Print out a copy of The Terrapin Petition so that you and your friends and family can help us ask our new Governor O'Malley and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to close the commercial terrapin fishery once and for us all!

 

After you and your friends have signed, bring your extra sheets to your local veterinarian, nature center, grocery store or pet goods store and ask if they would be willing to keep the petition out for their customers to sign. People can add their email address on the back of the petition to receive occasional terrapin updates, otherwise they can visit this web site for updates.

 

We're going to institute a fun rewards program so send us an email when you've sent in a signature sheet to keep track of how many signatures you've collected! Let us know what businesses are participating so we contact them and give them due credit for helping Maryland's terrapins!

 

After you've signed, please make sure to contact your representatives and let them know you care. It is the most effective and positive thing you can do to help save Maryland's terrapins!
